Information Collection Statement

Personal information you provide in this form is collected pursuant to section 26 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

This information will be used for the purpose of applying for an expression of interest in the Regional District of Central Kootenay Emergency Support Services team.

Minimum Requirements for ESS Responders

All ESS Responders are required to possess the following minimum requirements to volunteer as part of the RDCK Emergency Support Services Program:
- Be community spirited and have a compassion for people affected by disaster
- Be able to respond on short notice
- Be reasonably fit and mobile
- Be willing to commit to a minimum of 18 hours (one-time) for initial basic training. This is all available online and at your convenience.
- Be willing to attend to one team meeting per month for training and practice
- A valid Canadian driver's license is an asset
